the 30th then
A Lazy morning spent drinking coffee in the comunal area of Love Lane Inn - and its worth spending a few minutes telling you about the Love Lane Inn
Really nice place - clean and incredibly friendly

Jimmy who owns and runs it is a Chinese Malaysian guy who always has a smile, a story and some good advice on anything you care to mention - his wife - Amy (i think) doesnt speak such good English but she tries - and she would organise your entire trip for you given the chance - I liked her but Niles (a Danish guy we met) found her a bit irritating when he just wanted to drink cofffee in the morning
Anyway - the rooms (well dorm where i stayed) was nothing special and the showers were cold, and there was only one western toilet but to be honest its the people that make a place and Jimmy is one of my favourites so far - he also has shoulder length white hair - ive gotta get a photo and ill shortly be back there for the third time...

ANyway after lazing around James and I decided we may as well go out - we wandered around the corner and had a look in the museum which was interesting enough without being great (my notes say "museum" so that kind of sums it up)
We then wandered through to Little India and had a pretty nice curry at the same place id been before - a good selection of stuff served on a Banana leaf and eaten with hands - right hand anyway = have i said this before -probably.

That night we again tried to make a night out of Penang - it wasnt really kicking off though -Jo & Gill, Joe another English guy staying at our hostel, Julia and the German girls, James, Anthony and the two Danish guys Niles and Christian and I should have been able to make a party ourselves - the clubs were really expensive though and pretty shit -
First we got accosted by Billy (the goat) a funny, pissed old Malay guy who was dancing his little heart outand trying to get us to drink some foul smelling local brew which apparently was the only thing he could drink at his age cos beer would be bad for the heart -this stuff im sure would be bad for the rest of the body...
we did find the "Soho Bar" though which claimed to have the biggest selection of draft beers in Malaysia (of course) but this wasnt much of a claim - since most places have none - this joint had about 5- I did manage to get served a Pint though which was a bit of a novelty, and they had table football.
Full of drunk Chinese blokes though so not the best atmos
