So anyway
back in Penang
In the evening i checked out an indian restaurant near my hostel and had some nice food in there - it was interesting cos you can see them all cooking in front of you and they all seem to do everything - from serving to cooking and using the till - i went to this place a few times and got to recognise the characters in there - the friendly girl in the blue sari, the nice guy in the pinny and the overworked boss guy.
In the afternoon i had also checked out a small art gallery and seen some kids doing some kind of street performance thing with a large chinese dragon.
anyway this was all some time ago so its a little vague - what i do remember is that I went to the Liverpool bar which was just around the corner from my hostel (and the official headquaters of the Malaysian Liverpool supporters club) - Leicester were playing Man U so I thought i would check it out.
I met an English guy Michael who was a Liverpool fan just checking the bar out - he was a nice guy and it was good to be able to have some proper football chat from a knowledgeable person for a change
Also Noticed today:
Either Glenn Mederios is making a comeback or someone has covered Nothings Gonna Change My Love for You - heard at least 3 times today - and Michael had noticed the same thing
One more day quickly-
The morning of the 28th I moved Hostel to the fantastic Love Lane Inn - of which i shall tell you more later - knackered from the previous day i was chilling in the Reading room and met James who i have actually been travelling with ever since -
after dossing about in the afternoon we went and grabbed some food and a beer at a bar showing American Pie 2
Later on we met Michael at a bar showing the Liverpool v Charlton match (im fairly sure this "hotel" was also a knocking shop but hey they had the football on)
Right im gonna go now
