Hey!
How's work?
Ive just seen the sunset after a day on the beach
Sorry

Well anyway a quick couple of lazy days - the 18th was spent sorting a couple of things out in town and riding on the new Monorail - its on a trial period at the moment - it should already be open properly but last time a wheel fell off on a journalists foot - he's suing - they need to check its ok

It seemed fine to me - you definitley get a different view of the city anyway
After that I had arranged to meet up with Amy so I went round to her parents appartment to make use of the pool facilities - excellent idea - great view of the towers and a jacuzzi to boot!

Her mum very kindly cooked tea and then i headed home
so dull but relaxing

The following day wasnt a lot more exciting I had to go to the crazy bus station Puduraya which is very hot and very crowded - the ticket booths are in a small corridor type area and touts shout out destinations and try to grab your attention
I dont quite understand why they do this - surely if your in a bus station you have a pretty good idea where you want to go - im unlikely to suddenly decide somewhere else sounds nice because some aggressive Malaysian has shouted at me
Anyway
Ronnie had advised the best bus company to take - Zuco so i found the booth and bought a ticket
I then had to go to the Central Market because I wanted to buy a present for Ronnies Aunt and Uncle to say thanks - im rubbish at that sort of thing but settled on a hand painted fan - his aunt seemed to like it but her English isnt great so its difficult to tell..
and Meg - yes I will be getting Ronnie something but ill be back in KL before i leave and will see him so havent yet - im a bit short of ideas though...

anyway
I ended up going round to Amy's for a swim again cos it had been just the thing the previous day and then was picked up by Ronnie later on

We went for a bit of a drive down the Klang valley - which is the region between Klang on the coast up to KL
We stopped in Shah Alam where "The worlds biggest Mosque" - The Blue Mosque is and stopped because there were fireworks going off
We caught the end of an independence celebration for the Selangor region - some local dancers and then some guy who apparently was a child star but hadnt had any hits for several years

We got back to watch Survivor - American version
Apparently the British version was filmed off Malaysian Borneo
I have not checked this fact
